Riding the PCH in November

The temps are dropping and the seasons are changing, but that doesn’t mean we need to stop riding! Whether you’re out in California, planning a visit, or are curious about riding in the “Golden State”, here are five tips for making the most of a ride on the iconic Pacific Coast Highway:

  1. Plan Your Route & Stops
Map your route, including scenic spots and cute overnight stays. Knowing where to expect steep climbs and where to rest will make your journey smoother.

  2. Pack for Variable Weather
The coast's weather changes quickly. Pack layers you can easily add or remove, including a windbreaker for those chilly mornings and evenings.

  3. Ride South for Tailwinds
Wind usually blows north to south along the coast. Riding south gives you that perfect tailwind push, making your ride easier and more enjoyable.

  4. Stay Safe & Visible
Some highway sections are narrow and busy. Use a rear-view mirror, wear bright clothing, and stay alert. Safety first, but make it bright and cute!

  5. Enjoy the Small Towns, Snap & Share
Take your time to explore charming towns, cozy cafes, and local parks. Snap photos, tag @venusdemiles on social media, and share your adventure. It’s all about the journey and those special moments!
