THE ORIGIN OF
VENUS DE MILES

In 2008, leadership members from Boulder-based nonprofit, Greenhouse Scholars, had an idea: create a unique fundraising event exclusively for women. From there, Venus de Miles was born. As Colorado’s first and best all-women’s road ride and festival, Venus quickly grew in popularity, resulting in a community of thousands of female cyclists.

To date, more than 16,000 women have participated in Venus de Miles, with those numbers continuing to climb as more and more riders invite their sisters, daughters, mothers, and friends to join them in this unforgettable day of fun, fitness, and giving back to the community.
