Venus de Miles Bike Club
Our friends at Full Cycle bike shop in Boulder loved the Venus de Miles ride so much, they volunteered to work with us to start a new women’s only club. The Full Cycle Venus de Miles Club has rides, clinics, and social events all year long. And by joining, you’re also supporting Greenhouse Scholars!
We’re working to add additional clubs and activities throughout Colorado and Beyond, so stay tuned.
Train with an Olympian
Dream Team member Alison Dunlap, 2-time Olympian and World Champion, is offering training programs to Venus de Miles riders through her company Alison Dunlap Coaching.
Alison has tailored programs to match the Venus courses.
- The 33-mile training program is designed for the novice cyclist or someone who knows very little about the sport, but still wants to be fit and strong by the ride.
- The 51-mile program is for participants who have been riding for a while, or come from a strong background in sport and exercise.
- The 67-mile program is built for individuals who ride their bikes every day, participate in century rides, bike tours, or even race throughout the summer.
Each program is written by Alison and will start 4 months before the big ride. This is a great chance to receive world class coaching from one of the most accomplished cyclists in the world. Plus she’s a native of Colorado, a returning Venus de Miles VIP rider, and one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. On The Eve Before Venus
Join us on Saturday, August 28th for Venus de Miles’ first ever Farm Dinner to benefit Greenhouse Scholars. Dinner will be prepared by Chef Dale Lamb and will feature locally harvested organic fare, Ciolo Foods, and tasty wine and beer.
Space is limited, seats will sell fast, and guys are welcome. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Ollin Farms booth at the Longmont Farmers Market on Saturdays, or by calling 303-717-0586.
Kids Adventure Camp
While you are riding Venus, your kids (ages 4+) can participate in a multi-sport outdoor adventure wit Avid4Adventure beginning as early as 7 AM and lasting until you cross the finish line.
They'll love rock climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, learning Leave No Trace outdoor ethics, and more. Activities are age-specific and led by professional staff (highly certified, background checked, extensively trained and great with kids).
